Kansas City, MO – Two Killed in Accident on NW 68th St near N Liberty St

Kansas City, MO (April 28, 2023) – The Kansas City police have confirmed that two people lost their lives following a motor vehicle accident that took place on Wednesday evening in Kansas City.

The accident was reported at approximately 9:00 p.m. on April 26.

Reports provided by the police indicate that a blue BMW was traveling on Northwest 68th Street at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle proceeded through the area of North Liberty Street, it crashed into a gray Toyota, which was turning south onto the roadway.

The impact of the collision sent the Toyota off the roadway, where it crashed into a chain-link fence.

The driver and passenger of the Toyota were significantly injured. The two victims were rushed to area hospitals for emergency care. Authorities pronounced the passenger deceased after she arrived at the medical facility.

The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and ended up passing away as a result at approximately 12:15 a.m. on April 27.

At this time, the police department is investigating the accident.
