Car Accidents in Missouri
Every year in Missouri, tens of thousands of innocent drivers and passengers suffer harm due to car crashes. Despite individuals' best efforts to be cautious, they cannot prevent the reckless actions of other drivers.
Rear-end collisions are a frequent occurrence in Missouri. They typically happen when a driver follows another vehicle too closely, leaving insufficient time to stop if the lead driver suddenly brakes. Another scenario is when a driver reverses into another vehicle.
Sideswipe collisions are another common type of accident. They occur when two vehicles attempt to pass each other and end up colliding on the side. Such incidents can often be avoided if drivers use their turn signals to indicate their intention to pass.
Although less frequent, head-on collisions are the most severe type of car accident in Missouri. They involve high speeds and can cause severe injuries or even fatalities. Head-on collisions usually result from a driver crossing the centerline into oncoming traffic or making a left turn in front of oncoming vehicles.
Accident victims often suffer severe injuries that require immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, the cost of medical treatment can be substantial. Moreover, victims are often unable to work after the accident, leading to significant financial challenges for both them and their families.
