Ste Genevieve, MO (June 21, 2023) – A motor vehicle crash reported in Ste Genevieve sent one woman to a local hospital with injuries.

The accident was reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at around 12:50 p.m. on June 19.

According to officials, a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2014 Ford Escape were involved in a collision on Route Y just east of Dietzfelbinger Drive. The incident prompted MSHP and firefighters to close off a large section of the road as they worked to clean the scene.

Two tow trucks rushed to the site of the accident to remove the damaged vehicles.

The driver of the Ford, identified as 53-year-old Tonya Grau of Bloomsdale, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries in the wreck. She was transported to Mercy Hospital in Jefferson, Missouri, for emergency care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
