Bolivar, MO (May 31, 2023) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 63-year-old Esther Burton and 79-year-old Clifford Needy were both injured as a result of a car crash that took place in Pettis County.
The accident was reported at around 710 a.m. on May 30.
Reports from authorities indicate that the driver of a white 2006 Toyota Corolla failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling on Missouri State Route 127 near Route B. As a result, the vehicle became involved in a collision with a white 1991 International F 4900. The impact of the crash caused the vehicles to travel off the side of the roadway.
Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to the extent of the damage.
Two people involved in the accident were injured. Emergency medical services rendered aid to 63-year-old Esther Burton and 79-year-old Clifford Needy while at the scene. Burton was then transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for emergency treatment.
The incident is currently being investigated.
