Kansas City, MO (May 18, 2023) – The Missouri Department of Transportation reported a motor vehicle accident that took place on Tuesday afternoon that left one woman injured.
On May 16, the Claycomo Police Department, Kansas City fire department, and emergency medical services all responded to the site of a crash that occurred on Interstate 435.
Reports from authorities indicate that a pickup truck and a car collided on the northbound side of the interstate near mile marker 52.2.
Authorities responded to the scene and shut down the roadway. The car was significantly damaged in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the car, 32-year-old Samia Tabit, was injured in the crash. She was transported to North Kansas City Hospital, where she underwent emergency medical care.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash. He was identified as 32-year-old Cody Lang.
The accident is currently being investigated.
