Motorcycle Accidents in Missouri

Every year, motorcyclists across the state of Missouri are left with serious injuries. Even though motorcyclists make up less than 2% of traffic on roadways across the United States, they account for 15% of all fatal accidents. The unfortunate truth is that motorcyclists have very little protection during accidents. As a result, they are more likely to suffer severe injuries. Common injuries reported in motorcycle accidents include:

  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Severe road rash and skin abrasions
  • Internal injuries/internal bleeding
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Fractures/broken bones

Suffering a serious injury as a result of a motorcycle accident can require a victim to undergo extensive medical treatment. Unfortunately, many victims had to spend tens of thousands of dollars to cover the cost of care. Even worse, there is no guarantee that they will fully recover from the injuries they suffered.

If you are unfortunate enough to suffer injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident, you should reach out to a Leesville motorcycle accident lawyer as soon as possible. You may be able to file a claim to recover compensation for some of the losses that you face following your accident. This can include compensation for:

  • Property damage
  • Emotional distress
  • Loss of income/wages
  • Medical expenses
  • Pain and suffering

Working with a skilled and knowledgeable legal team can provide you with the best chance of maximizing the compensation you recover.
