Car Accidents in Missouri
Auto accidents in Missouri leave thousands of people injured every single month. Unfortunately, more than 50 percent of the total accidents that result in injuries or fatalities take place at intersections. We see many accidents take place in these locations as a result of drivers who fail to yield, run red lights, or pass through stop signs.
When drivers act recklessly and negligently at intersections, they can cause accidents that leave people seriously harmed. Unfortunately, people who are involved in accidents are often left with serious injuries that demand immediate and long-term medical care. Common injuries reported in automobile collisions include:
Broken bones: Broken bones can be especially debilitating, particularly in cases where individuals suffer compound fractures that require surgery. Broken bones often require casting for several months and therapy in some cases.
Internal organ injuries: These injuries can be incredibly life-threatening if they are not treated immediately. Unfortunately, we see many people with spleen ruptures, punctured lungs, and other internal organ injuries.
Spinal cord injuries: These debilitating injuries can lead to some form of paralysis, whether permanent or temporary. Unfortunately, people who suffer from spinal cord injuries often require medical equipment and assistance indefinitely.
If you have been hurt as a result of another driver’s negligence, you may be able to take legal action. A car accident lawyer in Liberty can help you protect your legal rights and hold the negligent driver accountable.
