Liberty Township, MO – Two Injured in Four-Vehicle Wreck on I-35 near MM 21.2

Liberty Township, MO (May 21, 2023) – A man and a young child were both left injured following a car crash that took place on Saturday morning in Clay County.

At around 11:15 a.m. on May 20, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a collision that occurred on Interstate 35.

Reports from authorities show that a 2012 Ford F150 crashed into the rear of a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe while traveling on the southbound side of Interstate 35 near mile marker 21.2. The impact of the accident caused the Chevrolet to strike the rear of the 2019 Lexus RX350. The Lexus then collided with the side of a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.

All four vehicles were severely damaged in the accident and had to be towed from the scene. Three area towing companies responded to provide assistance.

A 32-year-old man, identified as Aaron Shoop, and a 1-year-old boy were both injured in the crash. The young child was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital for emergency care. Shoop was transported by ambulance to Truman Hospital for further treatment.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.

We hope Aaron Shoop and the young child recover quickly following this accident.

Car Accidents in Missouri

Car accidents can be incredibly devastating. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of people in our state are left with serious injuries as a result of accidents every year.

After suffering injuries due to a car crash, victims have the ability to file personal injury lawsuits. In Missouri, these legal actions enable victims to collect financial compensation for some of the losses and damages that they face. This includes compensation for medical expenses, repairs to their vehicles, and more.

Filing a personal injury claim can be a complex process. For this reason, you can benefit greatly by having the guidance of a Liberty Township car accident lawyer at your side.

After an accident, you will be required to prove negligence existed at the time of the crash in order to prevail. This involves showing that the defendant owed you a duty of care, they breached it in some way, the accident occurred as a result of the breach, and you suffered damages.

Your attorney will be able to take the legal work off your shoulders so that you can focus on getting the medical care you need to recover from your injuries.
