Marshall, MO (October 2, 2023) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 86-year-old Carolyn Maberry of Dawn, Missouri, lost her life as a result of an automobile accident in Saline County.
The accident occurred just after 3:00 p.m. on September 29.
According to officials, a collision occurred on US Highway 65 just 0.4 miles north of Route UU during the afternoon hours. As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles, a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, went off the roadway and collided with the field entrance. The vehicle then overturned.
Maberry was pronounced deceased on-site as a result of her injuries. Two other victims suffered serious injuries. The victims, 68-year-old Connie Maberry of Dawn, Missouri, and 74-year-old Mary Rounkles of Tina, Missouri, were both transported by air EMS to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, for emergency treatment.
The accident is currently being investigated.
