Odessa, MO – Two Hurt in Crash on Wheatley Rd near Three T Rd

Odessa, MO (October 25, 2023) – A man and child both sustained injuries as a result of an automobile accident in Lafayette County on Sunday, October 22.

At around 2:15 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Wheatley Road.

Reports from authorities indicate that a 2006 Yamaha Grizzley and a 2002 Dodge Dakota collided near the intersection of Wheatley Road and Three T Road. The impact of the crash caused two people to be ejected from the Yamaha.

The victims, identified as 58-year-old John Strickler and an 11-year-old boy, both from Odessa, MO, sustained injuries. Both victims were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center via Higginsville EMS.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
