Sedalia, MO (October 29, 2023) – A young child was hospitalized as a result of a pedestrian accident that took place in Pettis County. The accident was reported at around 8:30 p.m. on October 25.

Reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper JW Hunter show that a seven-year-old boy from Sedalia, Missouri, was struck by a 2012 Jeep Wrangler in the area of 1820 West Timber Ridge Drive.

The child sustained moderate injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported by Pettis County EMS to Children’s Mercy Hospital, where he underwent emergency medical treatment.

The accident is currently being investigated.
