Lee’s Summit, MO (September 11, 2023) – A crash reported in Jackson County left two people hurt. The accident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
According to reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper CA Cundiff, a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer crashed into a 2013 Toyota Prius on the westbound side of Interstate 470. The impact of the crash caused the Toyota to be pushed into the path of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado near Highway 50. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
All three vehicles suffered significant damage in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as 38-year-old Lorena Vazquez-Prince, and the driver of the Chevrolet, 64-year-old Roderick Williams, were both injured in the crash.
Vazquez-Prince, who is from Kansas City, Kansas, was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by Lee’s Summit Fire. Williams, who is from Liberty, Missouri, was transported to the same hospital.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
