Liberty, MO (September 23, 2023) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident in Clay County that ended in injuries. The accident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. on September 20.
According to reports, a collision between vehicles occurred near the ramp from US Highway 69 onto Interstate 35 southbound. After the crash, a pedestrian was spotted at the scene. It is not known whether the pedestrian was involved in the accident or if he arrived at the scene to assist.
While standing at the scene, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, identified as 44-year-old Robert Jarman of Liberty, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries. He was transported to Liberty Hospital for emergency care.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
