Car Accidents in Missouri
Car accidents in Missouri leave tens of thousands of people hurt every year. The majority of these accidents are preventable. We see innocent people hurt as a result of reckless and negligent drivers.
After being injured in a car crash, victims have the ability to seek compensation for various damages that they face. This can include recovering money for:
- Medical Expenses
- Lost Wages
- Property Damage
- Emotional Distress
- Loss of enjoyment of life
- Pain and Suffering
The best way to ensure you are able to maximize the compensation you recover following your accident is to seek guidance from a Northmoor car accident lawyer right away. The state of Missouri follows a pure comparative negligence doctrine when it comes to providing compensation for car crash victims.
This doctrine states that any victim has the right to seek compensation for the damages that they face following the accident. However, the amount of money that they will receive will be reduced in proportion to the percentage of fault that they contributed to the accident.
Insurance companies will often use the basis of the comparative negligence doctrine as a defense when it comes to providing compensation to accident victims. They will do everything in their power to shift the blame onto you. For this reason, it is important that you reach out to a skilled legal team to get started on your claim right away. Your attorney will want to start gathering evidence as soon as possible to ensure you have a strong case.
