Lee’s Summit, MO (April 21, 2024) - A motor vehicle accident reported in Jackson County on Thursday evening sent one man to an area hospital with injuries. The collision was reported at around 5:45 p.m. on April 18.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a collision between a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and a 2023 Tesla Model 3 occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 470. Authorities arrived at the scene and located both of the vehicles on the roadway just west of Northeast Douglas Street. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene. One person involved in the accident, identified as 48-year-old David Palmer of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, was injured. Palmer was transported by Lee’s Summit Fire Department EMS to Research Medical Center for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
