Car Accidents in Missouri

In Missouri, car accidents leave tens of thousands of people injured every year. Many of these victims suffer from severe injuries, such as spinal cord damage, head trauma, and other serious conditions that require long-term medical treatment. The aftermath of these accidents can be overwhelming, both physically and emotionally, and can also lead to significant financial strain.

After being injured in an accident, victims need to understand that they have the right to take legal action. Identifying the careless or reckless behavior that caused the crash is a crucial step in seeking justice. Some of the most common causes of car accidents in Missouri include:

  • Drunk Driving: Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol is one of the leading causes of traffic accidents and often results in catastrophic outcomes.
  • Reckless Driving: Speeding, aggressive driving, and ignoring traffic laws can all contribute to dangerous collisions.
  • Running Red Lights or Stop Signs: Failing to obey traffic signals is a frequent cause of accidents, often leading to serious injuries.
  • Tailgating: Following another vehicle too closely reduces the ability to stop in time, increasing the likelihood of rear-end collisions.
  • Fatigue: Driving while tired can impair judgment and reaction time, making it dangerous for everyone on the road.
  • Poor Road Conditions: Roads that are not properly maintained, or that have hazards like potholes, can also lead to accidents.

These acts of negligence continue to put innocent people at risk every day. If you have been hurt in a car accident, seeking legal help from a knowledgeable Calhoun car accident lawyer is essential.
