Concordia, MO (August 7, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Lafayette County sent one person to a local hospital with injuries. The crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on August 5.
According to official reports, a 2013 Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70. As the vehicle proceeded through the area near mile marker 54.8, it collided with a 2023 Hino. The Nissan was totaled as a result of the crash. Two people were treated for injuries at the scene. The victims were identified as 28-year-old Beverly Adler of Columbia, Missouri, and 46-year-old Larry Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri. Adler was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Concordia EMS for further care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
