Garden City, MO (August 30, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to provide help at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Cass County and ended in injuries. The incident was reported to officials at around 3:35 p.m. on August 28.
Police reports show that a 2005 Toyota Highlander and a 2021 Kenworth were both traveling northbound on Missouri Highway seven. As the vehicles proceeded through the area just north of Kircher Road, they collided. The involved vehicles were severely damaged in the crash. The Toyota had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 18-year-old Garrett Myers, was injured in the crash. He was transported by LifeFlight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, for emergency treatment. The accident is currently being investigated.
