Holt, MO (August 17, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Clay County that left several people injured. The crash occurred at around 1:50 a.m. on August 15.
According to official reports, a 2014 Kenworth truck tractor-trailer crashed into the rear of a 2019 Acura while traveling on the southbound side of Interstate 35. Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident and closed off the roadway near mile marker 28.2. The Acura was totaled as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene. Three people involved in the crash were injured. Emergency medical services rendered aid to a 14-year-old male, a 16-year-old male, and 51-year-old Andres Jimenez. All three victims were transported to Liberty Hospital for emergency medical treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
