Liberty, MO (August 19, 2024) – Authorities were requested to provide help at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Lafayette County and ended in injuries. The collision was reported to law enforcement at around 12:20 p.m. on August 17.
Police reports show that a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling on US Highway 65 E. when it became involved in a collision with a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway just east of County Road 403. The impact of the crash sent the motorcycle off the southbound side of the roadway, where it overturned. The motorcycle was moderately damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The motorcyclist, identified as 38-year-old Jack Geeslin of Miami, Missouri, was injured. He was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
