Prathersville, MO (February 28, 2024) – On February 27, emergency officials were requested at the scene of an automobile accident in which at least one person was hurt. The accident was reported to authorities in Clay County at approximately 12:20 p.m.

According to preliminary reports, a 2021 Nissan Kicks entered the US Highway 69 and Cameron Road intersection and collided with a 2022 Ford F150 pickup truck. The impact of the crash left both vehicles with severe damage. The two vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Two people involved in the accident were injured.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene and provided care to 22-year-old Michelle Paxman and 66-year-old Bobby Holtzclaw. Paxman was transported to Liberty Hospital by Excelsior Springs EMS. Kearney EMS transported Holtzclaw to Excelsior Springs Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated by law enforcement.
