Fatal Car Accidents in Kansas

Fatal car crashes claim the lives of hundreds of innocent people every month in Kansas. Although there are many drivers who operate their vehicles with care and consideration for other motorists sharing the road, we continue to see innocent people lose their lives as a result of drivers who fail to do so. Some of the leading factors in the fatal crashes across our state include:

  • Poor visibility conditions
  • Ignoring traffic signals and signs
  • Distracted driving
  • Speeding
  • Drunk driving
  • Failure to yield at crosswalks

Regrettably, these and other negligent actions continue to take the lives of innocent people in our state year after year. If your loved one has died due to a fatal collision, your family has the ability to pursue a wrongful death claim against the responsible party. Seeking representation from a Kansas City wrongful death lawyer can greatly improve your chances of getting justice.

Missouri's pure comparative negligence statute enables compensation even when the injured party bears a substantial share of the blame, provided other parties also share responsibility. However, the amount of compensation that you are able to recover will be reduced to reflect the amount of fault that was shared by your loved one for the accident. This makes it critically important for you to seek legal guidance early on to ensure you have the strongest evidence to prove that the defendant was at fault for the accident.

Losing a loved one in an auto accident is an unimaginable tragedy, and it can be even more devastating if their life is taken due to someone else's negligence. At the Martin Law Group, LLC, we are committed to helping families who have gone through this painful experience by providing compassionate and dedicated legal representation.
