Clay Co., MO (July 5, 2024) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in Clay County claimed the lives of two people while leaving others injured. The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene at around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
Official reports indicate that a chain reaction collision took place on the westbound side of Route 92. Authorities arrived at the scene and located a Gallatin R-V School District school bus, a black passenger vehicle, and two additional vehicles blocking the roadway near Highway A. Authorities immediately shut down the road to prevent further damage.
One person in the black sedan was immediately pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of their injuries.
