Edwards, MO (July 29, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Benton County left three people hurt. The collision took place at around 10:40 p.m. on July 26.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a Ford F350 was backing on Highway M at the intersection of South Shore Drive when it was struck by a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Both vehicles were significantly damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Three people involved in the crash were injured. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to render aid to 56-year-old Mark Lee, 73-year-old Galen Strickland, and 78-year-old Jesse Wininger. Lee and Wininger were both transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for further treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
