Kingsville, MO (July 8, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Johnson County prompted the response of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, firefighters, and paramedics. The collision happened at around 6:45 p.m. on July 5.

According to official reports, a 2017 Ford Focus and a 2012 BMW Z4 were both traveling eastbound on Missouri State Highway 50. As the vehicles proceeded through the area near Route AA, they collided. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the crash and had to be towed from the scene. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to care for 23-year-old Haley Hetrick and 28-year-old Mark Castaneda. Castaneda was subsequently transported by EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center for further treatment.
