Wood Heights, MO (July 27, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Ray County left one woman seriously injured. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the crash site at around 5:40 p.m. on July 24.
According to official reports, a white 2020 Nissan NV200 made a left turn onto 10 Highway from Oak Street without yielding the right of way to a dark-blue 2018 Nissan Altima. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Both cars were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Altima, identified as 29-year-old Leann Simmons, was seriously injured in the crash. She was transported to Liberty Hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
