Alma, MO (June 25, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Lafayette County ended in injuries. Authorities were summoned to the scene of the crash at around 3:50 p.m. on June 21.
According to official reports, a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2021 Ford Expedition collided on Michigan Highway 23. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway near Michigan Highway 20. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the crash and had to be towed from the scene. Medical personnel responded to the crash to care for the injured victims. Lifeflight Air Ambulance transported 24-year-old Noah Austin to Research Medical Center for emergency care. A second victim, 43-year-old Tara Edwards, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
