Cole Camp, MO (June 3, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Cole Camp left two injured. Emergency officials from Pettis County were called to the scene at around 10:00 a.m. on June 1.

Reports indicate that a 2015 GMC Duramax entered the intersection of US Highway 65 and Whiteman Road. While traveling westbound, the driver of the vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox. As a result, the GMC collided with the southbound Chevrolet on the right side. Emergency crews responded to the scene and closed off a portion of the roadway. Two people involved in the crash were injured. Emergency medical services provided care to 63-year-old Pamela Swearngin and 80-year-old Richard Swearngin. Both victims were transported to Boswell Regional Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the crash is under investigation.
