Pleasant Hill Twp., MI (June 17, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Cass County ended in injuries. The incident took place at around 4:45 p.m. on June 14.
According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2017 Ford F-250 pickup truck and a 2014 Toyota Tundra collided on Missouri Highway 7. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway just 0.5 miles south of Pleasant Hill. Three people were injured in the accident. EMS responded to the crash site to render and to 48-year-old Daniel Straasburg, a 9-year-old male, and an 11-year-old male. Both juveniles were transported by Pleasant Hill EMS to Cass County Regional Hospital for further treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
