Raymore, MO (June 2, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Cass County left one woman injured. The collision took place at around 4:25 p.m. on May 31.
According to police reports, a 2022 Toyota Sienna was slowing down on the northbound side of Interstate 49 due to traffic reported near mile marker 170.6. For unknown reasons, a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu crashed into the rear of a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. As a result, the Chevrolet Impala struck the left corner of the Toyota before going off the left side of the roadway and colliding with a median cable barrier.
One person involved in the accident, identified as 39-year-old Misty Overcast of Harrisonville, Missouri, was injured. She was transported to Research Medical Center for emergency treatment. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
