Sedalia, MO (June 22, 2024) – A pedestrian accident reported in Pettis County left one person hurt. The incident took place on June 19 at around 6:40 p.m.
According to official reports, an 8-year-old boy was walking on South Kentucky Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle just south of 36th Street. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway as emergency crews provided help on-site. The child was treated by EMS on-site. He was then airlifted and flown by MU Medical Services to University Hospital in Columbia for further care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
