Kearney, MO (March 20, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Clay County left two people injured. The incident occurred at around 6:00 a.m. on March 18.
According to official reports, a 1990 Ford escort was stopped in the roadway on Missouri Highway 210 at Capital Sand Road while attempting to make a left turn. For unknown reasons, the vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. The two vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Two people were injured in the accident. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to provide care to 49-year-old Artie Clark and 53-year-old George McCall. Both victims were transported to Liberty Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
