Kansas City, MO (May 22, 2024) – Emergency crews across Jackson County were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in Kansas City and ended in injuries. The collision took place at around 4:00 p.m. on May 20.
According to official reports, a 2018 Mazda 6 was traveling on the eastbound side of Interstate 470 during the evening hours. As the vehicle began to slow down for congested traffic, the driver of a 2014 Ford Fusion crashed into the rear of the vehicle. A 2014 Mercedes E350 then crashed into the rear of the Ford. The Mazda and the Ford had to be towed from the scene due to the extent of damage. The driver of the Mazda, 18-year-old Ethan Cha, was injured in the crash. He was transported to St. Luke’s East Hospital for emergency care. At this time, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
