Lee’s Summit, MO (May 19, 2024) – A 46-year-old female was rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Jackson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was informed of the accident at around 1:35 p.m. on May 18.
According to official reports, a 2005 Nissan 350Z and a 2005 Yamaha V Star collided on the northbound side of US Highway 50. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway near Alley Jackson Road. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the crash and had to be towed from the scene. Medical personnel responded to the scene of the accident to render aid to Kimberly Brake of Grandview, Missouri. She was transported by Lone Jack Fire Department EMS to Centerpoint Medical Center for emergency treatment. At this time, the crash is under investigation.
