Lee’s Summit, MO (May 18, 2024) – Emergency crews across Jackson County were called to provide help at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Lee’s Summit. The collision took place at around 12:55 p.m. on May 16.
Official reports indicate that a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup truck collided on Missouri Highway 291 near Columbus Street. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway while police and firefighters worked to clear the scene. A 42-year-old woman involved in the accident, identified as Tawana Seay of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, was injured. She was transported by Lee’s Summit Fire EMS to Research Hospital for emergency medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
