Car Accidents in Missouri

Car accidents are unfortunately common in Missouri, often caused by drivers making reckless decisions while on the road. These poor choices lead to preventable accidents that result in tens of thousands of injuries each year. Several key factors contribute to these collisions:

  • Distracted Driving: Distractions, such as texting or not paying full attention to the road, are among the leading causes of accidents in Missouri. When drivers are distracted, the risk of a collision rises significantly.
  • Road Rage: Aggressive driving, driven by anger, frequently escalates into dangerous situations that increase the likelihood of serious accidents.
  • Speeding: Exceeding the speed limit is a common cause of crashes. Speeding reduces a driver’s control over their vehicle and heightens the risk of losing control, leading to potentially severe collisions.
  • Drinking and Driving: Alcohol-related accidents remain a major issue in Missouri. Driving under the influence impairs a driver’s ability to operate a vehicle safely, leading to numerous crashes each year.

These risky behaviors continue to pose a serious threat to innocent lives on Missouri's roadways.
