Fayetteville, MO (October 6, 2024) – Emergency crews were notified that they were needed to provide help at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County and ended in injuries.

At around 810 a.m. on October 4, a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on Missouri Highway 13. As the vehicle traveled just north of Route H, it began to slow down for traffic congestion. A 2021 Chevrolet Malibu crashed into the rear of the 2018 vehicle. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Both drivers were injured in the accident. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to render aid to 27-year-old Dillon Gilmore of Sweet Springs, Missouri, and 22-year-old Regan Anderson of Odessa, Missouri. The two victims were transported by EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center for further treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
