Coleman, MO (September 2, 2024) – An 11-year-old girl was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Cass County. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident at around 12:00 p.m. on August 31st.
Reports show that a 2017 Ford Escape and a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee collided on all three Highway 291 at the intersection of East 203rd Street. The Jeep went off the right side of the roadway and collided with a sign before coming to rest in a field area of the road. The Ford went off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the crash. An 11-year-old female was injured in the accident. She was transported to Lee Summit Medical Center for emergency care. The accident is being investigated.
