Kansas City, MO (September 23, 2024) - Emergency crews were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Friday evening in Platte County and left multiple people injured. The collision took place at around 11:10 p.m. on September 20.
Reports show that an unknown vehicle crashed into the rear of a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe while traveling on the southbound side of Interstate 29. As a result, the Chevrolet crossed over into the northbound lanes and collided with a 2015 GMC Sierra near mile marker 13.8. The GMC then collided with a 2004 Honda Pilot, causing the vehicle to overturn. Five people were injured as a result of the accident. Emergency medical services treated 24-year-old Coda Gerber, 24-year-old Margaret Keohohou, 50-year-old Christopher Meirose, 52-year-old Douglas Gerber, and 56-year-old Michele Miller. All five victims were transported to Kansas City Hospital for further care. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
