Car Accidents in Missouri

Being involved in a car accident can be a tragic and overwhelming experience, often happening when you least expect it. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of people in Missouri suffer injuries each year due to automobile accidents. Many of these accidents are entirely preventable, with acts of negligence playing a significant role in the collisions reported across our state. Some of the most common causes of these accidents include:

  • Speeding: Driving above the speed limit increases the risk of losing control and reduces the time needed to react to sudden changes on the road.
  • Reckless Driving: Aggressive behaviors such as tailgating, weaving through traffic, or ignoring traffic signals can lead to serious accidents.
  • Weather Conditions: Poor weather, such as rain, fog, or ice, can make roads hazardous and require drivers to exercise extra caution.
  • Running Red Lights: Disregarding traffic signals endangers not only the driver but also other road users, often resulting in severe crashes.
  • Drunk Driving: Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs impairs judgment and reaction times, leading to devastating outcomes.

Regrettably, these and other preventable actions often cause severe harm to innocent people across Missouri. After suffering serious injuries in a car crash, victims have the right to pursue legal action. Filing a personal injury claim can provide financial relief for medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages you may face.
