Lone Jack, MO (September 24, 2024) - One person was injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Jackson County. At around 12:40 p.m. on September 21, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the accident, which occurred on US Highway 50.
According to official reports, a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling on the highway when the driver failed to yield while entering the road from Highway F. As a result, the Chevrolet collided with a 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The victim, identified as 69-year-old Earl Harriss of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, was transported to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for emergency treatment.
