Lone Jack, MO (September 24, 2024) - One person was injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Jackson County. At around 12:40 p.m. on September 21, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the accident, which occurred on US Highway 50.
According to official reports, a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling on the highway when the driver failed to yield while entering the road from Highway F. As a result, the Chevrolet collided with a 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Emergency medical services were called to the crash site to care for one person who was injured in the crash. The victim, identified as 69-year-old Earl Harriss of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, was transported to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
