Peculiar, MI (September 28, 2024) - A 45-year-old woman was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a car crash in Cass County on Thursday afternoon, September 26.
At around 3:00 p.m., a 2002 Ford Ranger crashed into the rear of a 2022 Ford Bronco on Route J at the intersection of East 203rd Street. The Ford Ranger was totaled in the accident and had to be towed from the scene. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway as the Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers worked to clear the scene. One person involved in the accident, identified as Angela Thompson of Peculiar, Missouri, was injured. She was transported to Belton regional Hospital by South Metro fire EMS. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
