Raymore, MO (September 8, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Cass County sent two women to area hospitals with injuries. The collision was reported at around 7:50 p.m. on September 6.
Police reports show that a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck collided with a 2017 Mazda CX5 on Missouri Highway 291 near East Hubach Hill Road. The incident caused severe damage to both vehicles, requiring them to be towed from the scene. Two people involved in the accident were injured. Emergency medical services responded to the scene and rendered aid to 36-year-old Megan Fry of Centerview, Missouri, and 45-year-old Leslie Cockrum of Nixon, Missouri. Friday was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for further medical care. Cockrum was transported by EMS to Belton Regional Medical Center. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
